Freeland Hall Cleaning Duties

  • Sweeping and scrubbing of all floors including entryway, bathroom, kitchen and main hall.
  • Cleaning of kitchen including cleaning of fridge/freezer and disposing of any expired food items, cleaning and sanitizing counters, and cleaning sinks and window, wiping down any obvious spills/marks in or on cabinets, checking inside cabinets for any open food or broken glass.
  • Cleaning of bathroom including window, mirror, toilet, sink, vanity and stand-up shower and emptying garbage/replacing bag in can.
  • Cleaning of main hall including wiping down any visible spills/marks on wall, windowsills, windows and blinds, placing garbage bags in trash can.
  • Removal of garbage (if necessary) to outside waste receptacles.
  • Cleaning of any obvious spills/marks on entryway walls.
  • Wiping down and sanitizing of all interior and exterior doorknobs.
  • Verifying adequate levels of cleaning supplies and toiletry items (handsoap, toilet paper, sanitizer, paper towel, garbage bags, etc.) are on hand and advise administrator prior to restocking needed.
  • Semi annual heavy duty cleaning will be required to clean out cabinets, possibly polish floors and other duties as required. An hourly rate can be discussed for those occasions and paid out on a per diem basis.

2021-2022 Budget Meeting

The 2021-2022 Budget will be presented at the Community Hall (82 Milligan’s Wharf Road) on Tuesday, March 30 at 7:00 pm.

March 2021 Council Meeting

The March 2021 Lot 11 and Area Council meeting will be held at the Community Hall (82 Milligan’s Wharf Road) on Monday, March 1 at 6:00 pm instead of 7:00 pm.

2020 Youth Stewardship Award

The Lot 11 and Area Watershed Management Group recently presented their 2020 Youth Stewardship Award to Avery Bonnis, who has volunteered many hours planting trees, doing beach cleanups, and as a junior councillor for the watershed group’s 2019 day camp. O’Leary-Inverness MLA Robert Henderson helped Lot 11 and Area Watershed Group coordinator Karen Rank make the presentation.

NOTICE OF NOMINATION PROCEEDINGS FOR MUNICIPAL BY-ELECTION

Pursuant to Section 42 of the MGA R.S.P.E.I. 1988, CAP.M12.1 and Subsection 25(1) of the municipal election regulations.

Public notice is hereby given to residents of the Rural Municipality of Lot 11 and Area that a municipal by-election will be held on March 16, 2020 to elect 2 councillors for the Rural Municipality of Lot 11 and Area for the term of office terminating December 6, 2022.

The nomination period for council positions noted above begins on Wednesday, February 19th and ends at 2 PM on nomination day Friday, February 28 . Nominations shall be received in person during office hours at the election office located at 82 Milligan’s Wharf Road, Freeland.

Office hours are as follows: February 18 5 PM-8 PM, February 22 6 PM-9 PM, February 25 5 pm -8 pm and February 28 9 AM– 2 PM. (If required, an additional nomination day will be held on Friday , March 6 from 9 AM – 2PM) March 8, 9 AM -12 PM, March 11, 5 PM -8 AM. Advance Poll Saturday, March 14 9 AM – 7 PM and election day Monday , March 16 9 AM – 7 PM

The deadline for correcting elector information shall be 11:59 AM on March 2, 2020.
